Chavez Memorial Parade
Who: The San Diego Cesar E. Chavez
Commemoration Committee
What: A 1/2 mile march in memory of
labor leader Cesar E. Chavez
(Participants traditionally include marching student
groups & community organizations.)
When: Saturday, March 29, 2008 from
10:00am-12:00pm
Where: The route will begin on 28th Street and Ocean View Boulevard, go north and then head West on
Sampson Street, turn North on Harrison Street and then head West on Cesar E. Chavez Parkway until Newton Avenue.
Why: To honor the life of the late
labor leader Cesar E. Chavez
